We’re looking for friendly, outgoing team members who can keep the good vibes flowing while helping customers with retail purchases and outdoor rentals like kayaks. Whether you're greeting guests, setting them up for a day on the lake, or stocking cool merch, you’ll be a key part of creating awesome experiences for our visitors.

FIND is a 50+-year-old nonprofit located in Pisgah Forest, NC who provides all people with educational, recreational and interpretive opportunities about natural resources and cultural history, and the Cradle of Forestry in America. FIND Outdoors serves over 1 million visitors each year with over 275 educational and recreational programs, special events, and tours, and manages 15 recreation, education and camping facilities in North Carolina, and Georgia. In addition, FIND offers our visitors forest-related gifts, educational resources and provides partnership opportunities for the health of our forests and safety of our forest users on public and private lands.
Starting Pay- $12.00/Hour

We’re looking for friendly, outgoing team members who can keep the good vibes flowing while helping customers with retail purchases and outdoor rentals like kayaks. Whether you're greeting guests, setting them up for a day on the lake, or stocking cool merch, you’ll be a key part of creating awesome experiences for our visitors.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Greeting and assisting visitors with a smile – you’re the first impression!
- Handling retail sales using the Lightspeed POS system
- Helping guests rent kayaks and other gear (and showing them how to use it safely)
- Keeping track of gear rentals, cleaning equipment, and making sure everything is in top shape
- Restocking, organizing, and stickering merchandise
- Assisting with inventory counts and retail operations
- Coordinates beach parking with gatehouse.
- Identifies safety and/or maintenance issues to management staff.
- Communicates with Site Manager when emergencies arise as well as when site rules are not being followed.
- Other duties as needed
SKILLS
- Ability to effectively use Lightspeed Retail POS System to update counts
- Mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skill
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Lift and move boxes, carton, or tubs weighing up to 40 lbs.
