About the Opportunity:
Assistant Campground Operations Manager
FIND has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Campground Operations Manager. This full-time, hands-on role assists in managing staff, facilities, and capital assets pursuant to campground operations. Extended travel and time in the field will be required, particularly through the operating season of April – November. This role provides stability and a positive, solution-focused foundation for campground operations across all FIND properties.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in providing leadership and supervision of all campground staff, including regular check-ins between in-person visits.
2. Ensures that all demographic data and metrics are being reported;
3. In coordination with operations leadership, troubleshoots maintenance and facilities general upkeep and emergency issues at FIND sites;
4. Assist in pre-season and ongoing training for campground staff;
5. Provides relief staffing to campground managers and other staff often and as needed;
6. Ability to perform basic cleaning and grounds maintenance;
7. Ability to represent the organization and FIND brand professionally and with excellence; 8. Assist in creating up-to-date and organized standard operating procedures for every campground;
9. Serve as a subject matter expert on all FIND software and technology programs that support campground operations, assisting staff in training, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems. Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure these systems are being used as intended;
10. Assist in ensuring each campground is fully ready with all needed equipment, utilities and supplies at the beginning of each season prior to host/manager move-in; that each site is winterized (if applicable) in a manner that is consistent with the next season’s success.
11. Process refunds, admin holds, and reservation modification through.
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Exercises excellent judgment and absolute discretion regarding confidential, sensitive, or high-level organizational matters. Models professional communication and maintains a positive, solution-oriented dialogue with staff.
2. Basic trade skills required.
3. Valid driver’s license. Ability to use a company vehicle to tow a trailer preferred. 4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent customer service.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Proficient with Google Suite.
8. Ability to travel frequently, sometimes with little notice.
9. Is willing to camp at sites if needed; sometimes for an extended period of time.
Education and Experience:
1. HS diploma required;
2. Prior experience in a similar role is encouraged but not required.
Physical Requirements:
1. Competence in outdoor settings
2. Being able to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
