FIND Outdoors, a non-profit organization, is looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual to be the Site Manager at Anna Ruby Falls Recreation in beautiful Helen, Georgia. The ideal candidate must be a team player who is able to work independently as well as supervise the site assistant manager and support staff. Enjoying working with the public and providing a stellar public land experience for visitors of all ages and backgrounds is a must. The Site Manager will be responsible for developing, meeting and implementing annual budget goals. Other core job functions include assisting with planning of long and short-term maintenance projects, identification of maintenance on grounds, buildings, and equipment. The Site Manager is responsible for specific site operations including retail sales as directed by the Chief Operating Officer and Retail Operations Director. Performs duties relative to accepting revenues, their collection, accountability and disposition. Must work to assure safety of visitors and employees. The ideal candidate will have a background in Parks and Recreation, Natural Resource Management of Forest/Wildlife Ecology and a passion for service.
Responsibilities:
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operates park with a business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit that focuses onrevenue generation, cost effectiveness, and innovation.
Manages revenue and expenses within identified budget targets.
Plays a leadership role in coordinating monthly business meetings focused on key performance metrics such as visitation, visitor reviews, sales, and upcoming events. Maintains a regular pulse on all of these metrics and works proactively to address deficits or issues quickly as they arise.
Performs administrative duties such as preparing reports, project management, andproviding information to update the Annual Operating Plan.
Partners with other team members to create strategies that maximize visitation, retail sales, and visitor experience. Owns those strategies and ensures their implementation with fidelity.
Develops partnerships through fostering and maintaining positive relationships with theUSFS in addition to external organizations such as friends’ groups, chambers ofcommerce, media, special interest groups, and local, state, federal government entitiesand Georgia State Parks.
Participates and represents FIND Outdoors in a variety of capacities (e.g., publicmeetings).
Provides excellent customer service to our visitors.
Works with Chief Education Officer and seasonal educators in Georgia to help identify and bring to life inspiring and memorable experiences for visitors to learn about and connect with public lands.
Grows, maintains and exemplifies a culture of positivity, openness and teamwork at the site. Creates a successional pipeline of future organizational leaders, offering professional development opportunities and regularly providing feedback to team members to help them grow in their career path and meet site-specific goals;
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build careerpaths.
Directs and/or performs site maintenance, improvement projects and park inventories.
Works with other team members to proactively identify safety concerns or capital improvements that might be required; assists in coordinating appropriate vendors for said projects.
Enforces all site and FIND Outdoors policies and procedures while conserving thenatural resources and ensuring public safety for our customers and employees.
Manages incidents that affect visitor safety or the operations of the visitor center, coordinating with appropriate stakeholders to ensure a swift, effective response.
Participates in the development and execution of crisis communication plans, ensuring all staff are trained to handle various emergency scenarios.
