Pisgah Ranger Station - Gift Shop Sales Associate

FIND Outdoors is looking for a dynamic individual for a Pisgah Visitor Center Gift Shop Sales Associate position in Pisgah National Forest, NC. FIND Outdoors serves approximately 850,000 total visitors each year at 21 recreation, education and camping facilities in North Carolina, Georgia and Indiana, all which offer the public over 150 educational and recreation opportunities and special events. In addition, FIND offers our visitors forest-related gifts, educational resources and provides partnership opportunities for the health of our forests and safety of our forest users on public and private lands.
The Pisgah Visitor Center Gift Shop Sales Associate position will serve as the face of FIND Outdoors to customers and will strive to excel in this regard. The role will focus on providing exceptional information, experiences and retail sales service of a site that sees over 121,000 visitors each year and is the gateway to over 500,000 acres of trails and recreational opportunities in Pisgah. The candidate must have a working knowledge of retail sales and customer service. The candidate will possess the ability to effectively run the retail sales register on a daily basis and be able to communicate to the public effectively. Lastly, the candidate must work as part of a team with HQ staff and all FIND sites as well as serve FIND Outdoors, its brand and its visitors with respect, dignity and inclusivity at all times.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for processing sales transactions
- Responsible for stocking and display of product
- Responsible for the cleanliness and overall appearance of the shop
- Responsible for accurate handling and processing of sales transactions
- Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and reporting needs to headquarters staff
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to use company-specific computer software.
- Ability to meet the public and communicate effectively.
- Provide information regarding services and/or programs when appropriate staff person is unavailable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction or supervision.
